Our Targeting Business Unit is seeking a Business Analyst to work with our Product and Development team, in creating a world class set of Products. With a particular focus on segmentation and demographics our products help clients understand who their "best customers" are, acquire more of them and maximise the return on marketing investment.

As a Lead Business Analyst you will demonstrate a deep appreciation for the role and value of the “business analyst”, acting as a role model you will support & coach junior team mates,regularly identifying & driving opportunities for best practice

The ideal candidate will have an excellent understanding of how clients use data, analytics and technology to drive business benefit, ideally in a marketing context.  With a proven track record in product development, they'll use their analysis and research skills to rapidly develop subject matter expertise - adding value by identifying needs, evaluating options, spotting quick wins, avoiding pitfalls and swiftly navigate road blocks on a number of exciting projects - driving positive change and growth in an existing portfolio of Targeting products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Developing requirements - clarifying, analysing and affirming needs on behalf of sponsors/ stakeholders to ensure goals & priorities are fully understood.  
Leading the solution definition phase - collaborating with the experts to identify viable options and making a solution recommendation to sponsors/ stakeholders to seek their approval.
Guiding the project team during the solution implementation phase - representing sponsors/ stakeholders, making key decisions, managing expectations and reviewing outcomes, to ensure the solution best meets the requirements.
Supporting & educating colleagues & users - helping the business and clients move back into a “business as usual” state, whilst maximising the benefits of the solution.
Developing personal and the team’s practice – seeking opportunities to develop skills, knowledge & talents through experiences, research & training, as well as collaborating on team methodology & standard improvements.
Facilitate and drive performance management processes
Champion a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the Experian business.  Ensure that by leading by example, you adhere to all regulatory requirements and apply appropriate controls in the interests of customers the adoption of a top down approach, demonstrate a culture where all of our people understand their regulatory obligations, including what the fair treatment of customer’s means to them and our organisation.
 
 
Qualifications
 Degree educated in either a Business or Technical academic field
 Experience
Proven experience as a Business Analyst within a product development environment
Other experience working in product development as: (ideally multiple roles)
Technical Support (e.g. Training, Technical Author, Helpdesk)
Software or Data Development
Data Science, Statistical Analysis or Marketing Analysis
Product Management
Project Management
Desirable
Recognised BA qualification/accreditation
Knowledge of Marketing (traditional and/or digital) techniques
Knowledge of data mining, predictive analytics, segmentation, measurement and visualisation techniques and related technologies
Experience working in or closely with product management & product development groups
Line management / team leadership
